Tasker v1.1 Working Demo
------------------------
Task Management Groupware
Thank you for trying our Tasker working demo. This software is identical to
the full working copy with the exception of some functions being disabled.
Two workgroups have been included as examples of how Tasker could be set up.
Creation of new workgroups is not available in this demo. Should you require
further information on Tasker, do not hesitate to call us at the number listed
below.
What is Tasker?
---------------
Tasker is a Microsoft Windows program designed to keep track of and prioritize
a group of user's tasks. Tasker will also generate reports summarizing a
Workgroup's activities by either time or cost. It can be used as a stand-
alone product on a single workstation, but Tasker's real strength lies in its
ability to join several workstations into one or more functional Workgroups.
Tasker operates over most existing networks by joining several connected
workstations and sharing a common database of assigned tasks. Multiple
Workgroup Users can enter and update the Tasks assigned to them as well as
view, print and generate reports for the Workgroup's Tasks. Products,
resources, and file attachments can all be grouped with a Task to facilitate
filtering, sorting and reporting of Tasks. Tasker is mail-enabled, allowing
a user to send messages via a MAPI or VIM compliant mail system. A Tasker
Report can also be sent directly from within the application.
A User can be a member of several different Workgroups on the same network,
freely changing from one Workgroup to the next, if he has the proper security
clearance. Security is enabled through the use of 4 levels of clearance with
each level having certain privileges which the Workgroup Administrator can
assign. Tasker is a perfect complement to project scheduling software, allowing
the person maintaining the schedule to assign tasks and update the schedule
from the Status Updates entered by the Users. Managers will find Tasker's
reports especially useful for showing which Project, Task, User, Discipline or
Activity, time and money is being spent on. Once you start using Tasker,
you'll wonder how you ever managed all of your tasks.
